It may seem inappropriate and well, politically incorrect, to associate the turban with a fashion trend, but the controversial turban is making its way on to the runway and making no qualms about it. The latest master to urbanize this trend has been Giambattista Valli who made his models sport the traditional headgear in a non-traditional way. This was achieved by taking stretch bondage fabric and using bobby pins to adhere it to the hair, which was also pinned up in a bun in the middle. The wrap was made like a perimeter with fabric missing from the top middle portion, which instead exposed the models' up-dos. While we have yet to see many Philadelphia residents sport this trend, it is definitely an east-coast native, making the rounds from runway to the streets of NYC. While we prefer the more traditional form, what do you think, is this new twist on the turban a trend up-do or up-don't?
