Nuke it with Neon

If Lady Gaga and Katy Perry's latest videos are any indication, the 80s are back in big ways, and I don't just mean shoulder pads. This decade was all about color, and like any trend what goes around will eventually come around again. The mix matching of neutrals with neon accents or unique color combinations like orange and purple is back in both small and big ways. However, this trend is a tricky one to master. Too many overpowering colors can quickly take you from trendsetter to an exploding highlighter. To avoid looking like the latter, here are some celeb style cues:

1. Don't go overboard like Kim K. did at a recent event pictured below wearing purple, orange, and green shoes. Too many colors is too much of a good thing. This actually results in a bad thing.

2. Do mix a neutral with a pop of color in a form of accessories. This was where Kim K. corrected herself when she wore a black blazer, blue jeans, and then added a pop of color with her Hermes lime bag pictured above. Her grandma even jumped aboard, sporting a hot pink jacket, with an all black ensemble underneath.
